 ATLA-Rel-Lit

The ATLA-Rel-Lit discussion list has been established to provide a venue for theological and religious studies librarians to recommend to their colleagues contemporary literary works which have religious themes, characters, and/or settings. The list is designed as a continuation of the discussion at the contemporary religious literature roundtable held at the ATLA Annual Conference and contributions are not expected to be scholarly critiques of the works.

Commands

Through e-mail: Lyris recognizes common commands sent through e-mail messages, e.g., review ATLA-Rel-Lit, set ATLA-Rel-Lit NOMAIL, etc. These commands should be sent to lyris@list.atla.com (not ATLA-rel-Lit@list.atla.com).

Through the web interface: Many commands can also be executed through the web interface. Click here.

Searching the ATLA-Rel-Lit Archives

To search the ATLA-Rel-Lit archives, follow the instructions for entering the web interface above.

Attachments

Attachments are permitted on ATLA-Rel-Lit, but in order to reduce the risk of infection from attachments it is advised that you paste information within messages if you can to avoid unnecessary attachments. If you need to include an attachment, as a courtesy to other readers identify in the body of your message the nature of the attachment ("I have attached a copy of the bibliography" or "Minutes from the meeting are attached," for example).

Postings Not Accepted

If you find that you cannot post to the list, it may be that your main or return address has been modified to one that is unrecognized by Lyris, the list management software. Lyris is not case-sensitive, but other changes, however minor, could cause your email address to fail when Lyris compares your "new" name to its subscriber list. This means that if you log on using any address but the one under which you are subscribed, your posting from that address will not be accepted. Any problems should be reported to the list administrator.

Involuntary Removal from the List

If you find that you have been removed involuntarily from the list—many days pass without any postings, as a possible symptom—send an e-mail message to the list administrator.

Unsubscribing

You can unsubscribe at any time by following the instructions included with every distribution from the list.
