Publications Committee Charge
The Publications Committee has three members, appointed by and
reporting to the Executive Director of the Association, who serve
rotating three-year terms. The ATLA Director of Member Services serves
as an ex officio member of the
committee. In keeping with the mission and organizational ends of the
Association and in collaboration with other ATLA constituencies, the
Publications Committee:
-
Promotes
professional and scholarly publication by ATLA members through
publication grants, programming at the annual conference, and other
professional development opportunities.
-
Fosters
and oversees publication of critical tools (such as the journal, Theological
Librarianship, the ATLA/Scarecrow book series, and various
member publications) for use by members of the profession.
Members of the Publications Committee meet in person at least once
annually at ATLA Headquarters and regularly consult with one another and
with ATLA staff throughout the year.
