> Southwest Area Theological Library Association

The Southwest Area Theological Library Association (SWATLA) exists to promote cooperation and exchange of ideas among libraries in the Southwestern United States. The only requirement for participation is that a library be responsible for theological/religious studies collections. Participants include but are not limited to members of the American Theological Library Association (ATLA) in the region. SWATLA meets twice a year. Through these meetings and less formal contacts engendered by such meetings, the organization seeks to foster professional growth, institutional cooperation and the dissemination and sharing of information.

A history of SWATLA has been written by Mikail McIntosh-Doty and is available as a Word document SWATLA_History.doc
