Communicating the Value of Your Library: ACRL Project Outcome

A vital and challenging part of providing services to library patrons is assessing those services, gaining that valuable user feedback to both improve and promote your library’s activities. It is time-consuming and daunting to develop appropriate surveys and measures for evaluating success. This is why ACRL developed Project Outcome. 

Project Outcome is a platform and model to provide the data needed to understand and communicate the value of your library to your institution. It is available as a free online toolkit of standardized surveys used to measure and analyze outcomes. Surveys are available in eight areas: Instruction, Library Technology, Digital and Special Collections, Physical Space, Support, Research Services, Teaching Support, and Events/Programs. These are measured through four learning outcomes: Knowledge, Confidence, Application, and Awareness. 

Atla is bringing a unique ACRL Project Outcome training opportunity to its members. This two-hour online workshop is your chance to learn about the platform and model along with your peers and work together to determine how it can best be used in your institutions. This workshop is scheduled for February 4, 2021, at 1 p.m. CT and is free to Atla Individual and Institutional members.
