- International Journal for Religious Freedom, published by the International Institute for Religious Freedom, is published twice a year and aims to provide a platform for scholarly discourse on religious freedom in general and the persecution of Christians in particular. It is an interdisciplinary, international, peer reviewed journal, serving the dissemination of new research on religious freedom and contains research articles, documentation, book reviews, academic news and other relevant items.
- Philosophia Reformata: International Philosophical Journal of Christianity, Science, and Society, published by Brill, is a philosophical journal that welcomes contributions containing philosophical reflection in relation to the Christian tradition. Articles are broadly philosophical in nature, including interdisciplinary approaches in which philosophical reflection forms a substantive element. Contributions may either focus on philosophical themes in relation to Christianity (e.g., being, truth, knowledge, the good, religion, personhood, and others), or on themes in the sciences, the humanities, ethics, and professional practices, also in relation to Christianity (e.g., themes relating to normativity, responsibility, care, natural and social sciences, politics, economics, environmental sciences, and/or technology).
- Tenri Journal of Religion, published by Tenri University, is an academic journal from the Oyasato Institute for the Study of Religion. It covers topics relating to the faith doctrines and history of the Tenrikyo religion, as well as related topics in sociology, ethics, culture, and interreligious dialogue with other faiths in Japan, East Asia, and the world at large. It is the first Tenrikyo title to be added to Atla’s research tools.
- Jewish Film & New Media, published by Wayne State University Press, provides an outlet for research into any aspect of Jewish film, television, and new media and is unique in its interdisciplinary nature, exploring the rich and diverse cultural heritage across the globe. The journal is distinctive in bringing together a range of cinema, television, films, programs, and other digital material in one volume and in its positioning of the discussions within a range of contexts — the cultural, historical, textual, and many others.
Journal titles added to Atlas Plus* from Brill in the Netherlands
- Worldviews: Global Religions, Culture, and Ecology is an international academic journal that studies the relationships between religion, culture, and ecology worldwide. The journal addresses how cultural and ecological developments influence the world’s major religions, giving rise to new forms of religious expression, and how in turn religious belief and cultural background can influence peoples’ attitudes toward ecology.
- Journal of Jewish Thought and Philosophy aims to provide an international forum for Jewish thought, philosophy, and intellectual history from any given period. The emphasis is on high scholarly standards with an interest in issues of interpretation and the contemporary world. Articles are expected to cover philosophy, biblical studies, mysticism, literary criticism, political theory, sociology, and anthropology.
Scrinium is an international scholarly periodical devoted to patristics, critical hagiography, and Church history. Its scope is the ancient and medieval Christian Church worldwide, but especially Eastern Christianity and Christian origins. Each volume is focused on a specific subject formulated in the individual title of each volume.
