Join us this June for Atla Annual 2020 Online

Atla Member Programs is excited to announce the details for Atla Annual 2020 Online, scheduled to take place Wednesday, June 17- Friday, June 19. Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, this event will be offered free of charge to all individual-type (individual, student, retired, emeritus) members and staff at all institutional-type (institutional, affiliate) members. Non-members may register to attend for 100 USD. Registration and a complete schedule will be available next week.

Conference Programming

The conference will be scheduled from 10 a.m. CT – 3:30 p.m. CT over three days. It will open and close with timely and relevant plenary addresses, and Thursday’s schedule will feature the Vendor Virtual Social and the Atla Business Meeting & Association Update. Most of the educational sessions will be 30 minutes in length with panels remaining 50 minutes and posters combined into a single 50-minute session. Sessions will take place in three concurrent Zoom rooms and most sessions will be recorded and available for on-demand viewing by Atla members and other conference registrants after the event.

We understand that your attention will be divided among conference sessions, work-related duties, and your home life, so we’ve planned for 30-minute lunch breaks and 15-minute breaks between sessions.

Meet with Exhibitors

Our exhibitor partners are an important part of the Atla community and we’re pleased to announce that several of them will be joining us online. During the Vendor Virtual Social, we encourage you to visit with them and play our reimagined Transportation Passport Game to be entered into a prize drawing.

Group Meetings, Pre- and In-Conference Workshops, and Papers 

Denominational, interest, regional, and other group meetings will be arranged and scheduled separately in the weeks following Atla Annual 2020 Online.

Pre-conference and in-conference workshops will be rescheduled as separate online events to be held later this year. Also, several accepted papers will not be featured in an online session but will be included in the Atla Summary of Proceedings.

Thank you for your patience and support over the last few weeks as we conducted user and field research to determine the best structure for this event. We’ve learned so much about what to do and what to avoid, and have experienced first-hand a variety of different scheduling formats! We especially thank you for your survey responses, which helped us tailor this event specifically to you.

We are so excited and look forward to connecting with you in June! Atla Annual 2020 Online is just the beginning of the many more online programming and educational opportunities that will be available for members over the next few months and years.
