Stimmen der Zeit (Voices of Time)
Voices of Time is a Catholic cultural journal that is published monthly. The publication contains reflections on current topics that are important church and society, politics and culture at this moment in time. Voices of Time acts as a forum for the exchange of opinions within the faith community — a modern academic space for lively debate of issues important to their audience. According to their website, their goal is “going out into the world, going to the edges, to the peripheries of thought and belief — and informing about it.” This is Germany’s oldest cultural journal, edited by members of the Jesuit order. ATLA has the archive of Stimmen der Zeit available on ATLAS PLUS.
Theologie und Philosophie (Theology and Philosophy)
Theology and Philosophy is a quarterly journal aimed at promoting theological and philosophical research through systematic and historical investigations. Their scholarship includes both long and short form essays, contributions and a significant review section, which is often about one-third of each issue. The journal is published by the professors of the Philosophical-Theological University of St. Georgen in Frankfurt am Main and the School of Philosophy, Faculty of Arts SJ in Munich. It has been consistently in print since 1966. The archive is available on ATLAS PLUS.
Römische Quartalschrift für christliche Altertumskunde und Kirchengeschichte (Roman Quarter Script for Christian Antiquities and Church History)
Roman Quarter Script for Christian Antiquities and Church History, or RQ, publishes two double issues annually and focuses on the fields of Christian archeology and church history as they pertain to Roman references and influence. It is published on behalf of the College of the Priests at the Campo Santo Teutonico in Rome and the Roman Institute of the Gorres Society. RQ was founded in 1887 by Anton de Waal and has published continuously save for brief hiatuses from 1917-22 after the founder’s death and 1940-53 due to war. This makes it one of the longest running journals in this field, and most established in its area of expertise. RQ is now available for viewing in ATLAS PLUS.
