Dennis Swanson Named Library Dean, University of North Carolina Pembroke

Dennis Swanson was appointed as the Library Dean of the Mary Livermore Library at the University of North Carolina Pembroke beginning June 20.

Dennis has served 24 years with the Master’s Seminary in Southern California. Most recently, Swanson served as vice president for Library, Educational Assessment and Operations. He has previously served as seminary librarian, director of the Seminary Library, director of Israel Studies and director of Academic Assessment. 

He completed his associate’s degree in Public Administration from the College of the Canyons. He earned a bachelor’s degree in biblical studies from The Master’s College. He holds a master’s of divinity degree from The Master’s Seminary and a master’s of library and information science from San Jose State University. He earned a doctor of ministry from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2012.

Dennis has been with ATLA since 1995, and most recently, has served on the Endowment Committee since 2012.
