Help Ensure the Future of Atla: Donate to the Endowment Fund

As we near the end of 2020, surely we’d all agree that this has been a year to be remembered, filled with stories of the challenges, changes, and choices that we have faced. Throughout this year, we have seen and heard how Atla members have overcome obstacles, calling on their creativity to find solutions, both new and old, to meet their communities’ needs. Whether through the listserv, direct email, telephone calls, or Zoom, Atla members have connected and re-connected, not missing a beat, to provide resources safely and efficiently for our constituents.

Your commitment to excellence, despite the fact that many have faced reductions in financial and other resources, assures us that we will persevere. We have stood together as colleagues and assisted one another repeatedly. When we view these days in retrospect, we will reflect on the challenges met as an outpouring of your generous spirit. With such a combination of commitment to excellence and generosity, we will advance theological education.

Indeed, Atla is a reflection of its membership. For 75 years, Atla has been assisting its members with resources and professional development. Atla’s value was so significant that a member established the Atla Endowment Fund with a legacy gift. Many other Atla members have since added their own gifts to signal their support for this initiative.

The Atla Endowment Fund will enable the association to provide resources of the highest quality, support quality programming during the annual conference, and finance distinctive projects. The Endowment Fund is the instrument for ensuring that both current and future Atla members will have the means to sustain these vital research tools.

In our 75th Anniversary Year, the Endowment Committee is pleased to announce that we are nearing the $1 million mark! The endowment stands at more than $988,000. This is due to the faithful generosity and vision of Atla members. We respectfully encourage all Atla members to make a gift, however large or small, to the Endowment Fund in order to reach the $1 Million goal this anniversary year.
