Estudios Bíblicos is a prominent journal on the topic of the Bible from Spain. It has an international readership and is currently published by La Universidad Eclesiástica San Dámaso (UESD) in collaboration with the Spanish Biblical Association (ABE). Estudios Bíblicos publishes articles in Spanish, English, French, German, Italian, and Portuguese and has earned a global reputation for excellent scholarship in its field. It is a peer-reviewed journal and is printed quarterly.
Having published its first issue in 1929, Estudios Bíblicos recently celebrated its 75th anniversary of publication (publication was disrupted by the Spanish Civil War between 1936 and 1941) with a substantive commemorative volume reflecting on the history and future of the journal and the field. Aware of its ties to the 20th century biblical resurgence in Spain, this journal includes Biblical exegetical articles of many types and is known especially for scholarship on literary studies of the Bible and its cultural context.
ATLA is proud to offer the complete run of this important journal for scholars doing work in Biblical exegesis, literary and cultural studies, history of modern Biblical studies, or Catholic scholarship on the Bible. From issue number one through to the present, we are excited by the tradition of scholarship embodied by Estudios Bíblicos, and know it will be an asset to scholars, researchers, and students in years to come.
The entire full-text run of Estudios Bíblicos is available in ATLASerials PLUS™ (ATLAS PLUS™).
