LLAMA Announces Online Course on Change Management for Libraries

The Library Leadership and Management Association (LLAMA) announced a new four-week series of online courses that will help participants become a better leader and boost their career to a new level. “Change Management” will be offered July 9 – August 6, and will give participants the knowledge, skills, and strategies one needs to lead their ever-changing library.

Participants will learn

• how two-way communication, flexibility, and willingness to learn from mistakes can support a culture of change
• strategies for identifying training needs to support change
• mechanisms to identify challenges in the change process
• approaches to overcoming resistance to change

Participants can expect to spend an average of 8-10 hours across the four weeks, and there are no class meeting times as students will progress through a shared timeline.
