If you missed this stand-out panel at ALA, here is your chance! Mark your calendar for Wednesday, October 11 at 11:00 am CT and join the conversation about the journey to inclusivity in metadata with practitioners from Atla, OCLC, and the Library of Congress who have done the work to revise their metadata and are in positions to make changes to the authority files. This panel discussion will focus on real successes, failures, roadblocks to change, and how we think about terminology.
Panelists will speak to the importance of being involved with others doing similar work and creating a network of allies who can be turned to for their subject matter expertise or lived experience. More specifically, attendees will learn about factors to consider when making changes and the process of making change at the national level. Q&A will follow.
