Augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) learning experiences are increasing in popularity. Libraries are using this technology to offer augmented and virtual tours, facilitate wayfinding, create virtual art galleries, develop programming, and more. In this session, you’ll see examples of how libraries are using AR and VR to serve and engage their users. We’ll talk about the current state of AR and VR technology including software and hardware. We’ll also cover ways that you can create custom AR and VR experiences right now, with the technology you already have, using free and freemium apps and resources.
