Creating Leaders
The Creating the Leaders of Tomorrow Program (CLTP) works with mid-career theological or religious studies librarians to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to become effective library directors and leaders in the theological and religious studies library community. CLTP is sponsored by the Professional Development Committee.
The CLTP is designed for mid-career staff who are:
-
Considering applying for a library director position or newly appointed to a director position
-
Interested in building leadership and managerial abilities for success
-
Motivated to expand their current skills and knowledge to be more effective in their current positions
Using instructional webinars, readings, projects, and conversations with mentors and peers, CLTP focuses on broad themes, including:
-
How to Lead
-
How to Manage Financial Resources
-
How to Manage People Resources
-
How to Plan
-
How to Communicate
-
How to Manage Politics
-

CLTP is conducted in a collegial and confidential atmosphere, with most sessions occurring virtually and with in-person gatherings at the Atla Annual.
