Summary of Proceedings
The Summary of Proceedings is the official record of the Atla Annual conference and an opportunity to present the projects and scholarship of Atla and its members to a diverse, worldwide audience. Your work is a valuable contribution to the professional development of theological librarians, and Atla expects and appreciates high-quality, substantive submissions that reflect the Association’s core purpose and values.
The Proceedings are open only to persons who presented at Atla Annual. If you are submitting a report on behalf of an interest group, denominational group, or committee report, please see the Atla Yearbook. Persons interested in otherwise writing for an Atla publication are encouraged to visit our open access journals Theological Librarianship and the TCB: Technical Services in Religion & Theology.
Only papers from the following conference sessions will be accepted for publication in Proceedings:
- preconference workshops
- papers and presentations
- panel discussions
- conversation groups
- listen-and-learn sessions
- lightning round presentation
- in-conference workshops
- posters
- worship

Membership Benefit
Atla Members receive a complimentary printed edition of the Proceedings. Members may select either a printed or digital edition at the time of joining or they may update their selection in the My Atla Web Portal under the Publications tab. Please note: the issue will not be published within the membership year and will be available in December.
Members will have an opportunity to update their preferences for a printed or digital edition up until two weeks after the conference has ended.
If you do not renew your membership, you will still receive the edition as requested.
How to Access
The most current Summary of Proceedings, as well as the archive, can be found here: https://serials.atla.com/proceedings/index. Members who opted-in for a printed edition will receive it in the mail in December.
Non-members or members seeking additional print copies may order the printed edition at $60 USD for domestic and $80 USD international per volume. Contact an Atla membership associate for more information on how to order a print copy.
Notifications
To receive notification of new volumes, interested readers need to register for an account at each publication’s site. To do this, click “Register” in the upper right-hand corner of the website.
By registering for a reader account, you will not only receive notifications of new publications but also announcements about calls for proposals and other news.
