Gillian Harrison Cain
Gillian Harrison Cain is the Director of Member Programs at Atla. Gillian and her team are focused on the Atla member experience, including administration of member programs and projects, organization and implementation of professional development and engagement offerings, and hosting Atla Annual and other events. She has extensive experience in creating virtual and in-person educational events and managing communications with both members and partners. She also has experience with conducting research in trends and technologies in libraries, creating content for effective communications, consortial licensing, managing customer relationship management and content management software projects, grant writing and management, and project management. Her previous positions include Senior Marketing Manager at Serials Solutions, a ProQuest business, Director of Marketing and Program Development at BCR (Bibliographical Center for Research), and Global Product Manager for NetLibrary at OCLC. Her other experience includes working in reference at the Denver Public Library and in circulation and cataloging at Douglas County Libraries, as a classifier at IHS, and with various software companies. Gillian holds a BS in Engineering with a Civil specialty from the Colorado School of Mines. She completed her MLIS with an Information Networks concentration at the University of Denver.
