Treshani Perera
Treshani Perera (she/her) is the Music and Fine Arts Cataloging Librarian at the University of Kentucky, and also serves as the head for the Fine Arts Cataloging Unit. Treshani provides original and complex copy cataloging for all formats in the Fine Arts Library, oversees operations in cataloging, physical processing, binding and preservation, and manages several special projects in the Fine Arts Library. Treshani has presented various critical cataloging webinars and workshops for We Here LLC, the Association of Recorded Sound Collections (ARSC), and the ARLIS-VRA Summer Educational Institute, and presented on research in inclusive description at the Art Librarians Society of North America (ARLIS) and Visual Resources Association (VRA) annual conferences. Treshani is a member of the PCC Advisory Committee on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and is the founding convener of the University of Kentucky Libraries Subject Headings Interest Group, an informal group addressing display decisions and alternatives to problematic subject headings.
