Global Religious Traditions, 1760–1922 profiles many living traditions outside of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. It addresses theology, philosophy, practice, and history related to Babism, Baha’i, Buddhism, Confucianism, Hinduism, Jainism, Native American traditions, Shinto, Sikhism, Spiritualism, Taoism, Theosophy, Yezidi religion, and Zoroastrianism. It also includes tribal and folk religions of Africa, Europe, South Asia, and East Asia.
With the Atla Historical Monographs Collection (11 Series), religion and theology scholars can focus their research on the era and topics that most closely fit their fields of study. Eleven thematic series provide researchers with specialized content spanning from the 13th century through 1922.
Researchers can view all of the typography, graphics, and drawings as they were originally presented, which provides context and perspective to religion in American and world history.

This resource allows students and researchers to gain a better appreciation of global cultures and religions and to understand them within a historical framework. It includes translated sacred texts in English, German, and French. A number of sacred texts are also presented in their original languages, specifically Sanskrit, Chinese, Japanese, and Tamil.
Broad subject coverage includes Buddhism, Hinduism, Sikhism, Spiritualism, Taoism, and other non-Abrahamic traditions.
