In Atla Religion Database
- パーリ学仏教文化学 (Journal of Pali and Buddhist Studies), published by the パーリ学仏教文化学会 [Society for the Study of Pali and Buddhist Culture] is a peer-reviewed journal published once annually that shares research of Japanese Pali and Buddhist culture to mutually improve and develop understanding and highlight scientific advances made by the community.
- 선교와신학 (Mission and Theology), published by 장로회신학대학교출판부 (Presbyterian College and Seminary, Center for World Mission), is an academic journal of the Presbyterian College and Seminary at the Center for World Mission in South Korea and focuses on the history and theology of the church in this country, along with general subjects related to Christianity and the Presbyterian church.
- Journal of Japanese Philosophy, published by State University of New York Press, is the first and only international peer-reviewed journal on Japanese philosophy, an academic area that has been receiving increasing global attention for some time now. By enhancing the quality of research through a worldwide, recognized consortium of scholars, this journal intends to provide an international platform for Japanese philosophy and to further establish an academic status that other philosophical traditions such as Chinese and Indian philosophies already enjoy.
- Berliner Theologische Zeitschrift, published by De Gruyter, informs readers of contemporary developments in theology, poses questions about the current state of the church and society, and provides a forum for dialogue about new insights and research findings. In addition to its significance for the profile of theology in Germany, it is an excellent resource for the continuing education of pastors and religious educators and is targeted at anybody interested in theology.
- Hamsa: Journal of Judaic and Islamic Studies, published by Universidade de Évora, is dedicated to humanities studies on Judaism and Islam in the Iberian Peninsula and in the context of diasporas. Multilingual (English, Portuguese, Spanish, French), Hamsa offers each year comparative analyses of historical, philosophical, literary, anthropological, and sociological discourses, over a period that stretches from the Middle Ages to the present day.
- Internationales Jahrbuch für die Tillich-Forschung (International Yearbook for Tillich Research), published by De Gruyter, provides a platform to present different ways of interpretation and reception of the works of Paul Tillich. The aim is to promote international research on Tillich by fostering the exchange of knowledge in this field. Each volume is dedicated to a specific topic. In addition, other contributions are included – besides reports on Tillich conferences, the yearbook contains reviews of important publications on Tillich and a bibliography of current Tillich literature.
In Atlas
- Women-Church, published by Women-Church, covers a broad range of topics in the fields of feminist theology, religion, and spirituality. Under the broader umbrella of feminism, the journal included content from authors that held a diversity of understandings and perspectives. The journal documented major changes in feminist religious culture over a 20-year period. It encouraged contributions from more marginalized groups, and it remained a non-refereed title as a way of making it accessible to a wide range of readers.
In Atlas Plus
- Skrif en Kerk, published by AOSIS OpenJournals, is the preceding title for the journal now known as Verbum et Ecclesia. It seeks to create an intra- and interdisciplinary space for the conversation between theology and the sciences from a contextual perspective. It encourages research that challenges traditional discourses within and between the fields of biblical, religious, social, and human sciences as well as the constructive engagement with the natural sciences.
- Scripture, published by Catholic Biblical Association of Great Britain, is the preceding title for the journal now known as Scripture Bulletin. Through its articles and book reviews, it aimed to keep readers informed of current trends in biblical scholarship. Their focus included the role of Scripture in shaping our lives, informing our theology, and inspiring our actions.
- Kanien, published by Institut de théologie de la Compagnie de Jésus, is a biannual journal of research in theology and human sciences. Its authors include journalists, researchers, and African and European religious figures. Its focus is on promoting theological research in Africa, particularly regarding the Church in Africa and African societies. It is the first ever title from Cote d’Ivoire to appear in Atlas Plus.
- The Journal of the Christian Brethren Research Fellowship, published by The Fellowship, is the preceding title for Stimulus: The New Zealand Journal of Christian Thought and Practice. It provides provocative and challenging material for thoughtful readers, drawing on a wide variety of material. The journal was orthodox, evangelical, and Catholic while remaining open to publishing worthwhile and thought-provoking material from beyond these descriptions. Their stated aim is to be part of the gospel imperative to transform minds and put faith in God into practice.
- Nidān: International Journal for Indian Studies, published by University of KwaZulu-Natal, is an academic journal that focuses on Indian studies broadly including the Indian / South Asian diaspora. The journal is an inter-disciplinary and cross-cultural one that encourages scholarship that offers readers the opportunity to grasp India, its society, culture, religion, philosophy, politics, economics, and geography among other aspects.
