Chris Anderson Appointed Associate Dean of Libraries, Drew University

Dr. Christopher (Chris) Anderson has been appointed as Associate Dean of Libraries at Drew University.

Chris has served as Head of Special Collections, Archives and Methodist Librarian at the Drew Library for the past ten years. He has also worked as a Librarian for the General Commission on Archives and History of the United Methodist Church. Recently, he has served as Interim Dean of Libraries and then Acting Associate Dean of Libraries. Chris has also served as a volunteer Assistant Coach for Drew’s baseball team for the past three years.

Chris holds a PhD from Drew University in American Religion and Culture and an MLIS from Syracuse University. He has written two books, several book chapters, and multiple journal articles in the areas of library and information science, religious studies, media studies and popular culture studies.

Chris been an Individual Member of ATLA since 2010 and has served in many leadership roles, including Chair on the International Collaboration Committee, Special Collections Interest Group, and Methodist Denominational Group.
