Atla’s membership includes more than 800 individuals and libraries at academic institutions from diverse religious traditions and backgrounds.
Atla is governed by an elected board of directors, including four long-standing Board committees and one short-term committee all mandated by the Board’s Policy Manual.
Atla’s committees, councils, and task forces work to achieve Atla’s Mission and Organizational Ends. They are appointed by the Executive Director and are an integral part of the Association.
Alex Leiseca is Atla’s Communications Assistant and is based out of Boston. She serves the Membership & Engagement team by editing, formatting, and writing content for Atla’s blog, website, and social media, as well as Atla’s monthly Newsletter. Alex earned her BA in Communication Studies from Westmont College, holds a post-baccalaureate certificate in Creative Writing from Northwestern University and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Emerson College. Her background is in copyediting and writing, and her work has been featured in multiple publications, including The Boston Globe. In her free time, she writes, reads, and is a freelance proofreader for Penguin Random House.
