Digital Collection Hosting through Atla Digital Library Now Available 

Since its launch in 2017, the Atla Digital Library has brought together digital collections of scholarly, historical, and cultural significance that are relevant to the study, teaching, and learning of religion and theology. It is designed to provide Atla members and other organizations with a standards compliant, sustainable, and inter-operable hub that will promote visibility and access of their valuable digital collections.  

To date, the Digital Library has harvested metadata from the digital collections of more than eighty institutions. Beginning November 1, Atla member institutions that have digitized collections without a platform for hosting and public viewing may now contribute those collections to the Digital Library. 

Hosting through the Atla Digital Library is a fee-based service available to Atla Institutional and Affiliate-Candidate members who have digitized collections and metadata that meet the criteria of the Atla Digital Library collection policy. This service is not intended to function as an institutional repository or as a preservation archive. If you are an Atla member institution with physical collections that are not yet digitized, consider applying for a new Atla Digitization Grant Program.
