The goal of this panel discussion is to give each research center an opportunity to talk about what makes them unique, discuss any special collections, projects on the horizon, etc. The audience for this webinar would be the Atla membership, the interested public, etc.
Dr. Kyle B Roberts, Executive Director, Congregational Library & Archives – Kyle B Roberts is the Executive Director of the Congregational Library & Archives in Boston, Massachusetts. A scholar of Atlantic World religion, print, and library history, he is the author of Evangelical Gotham: Religion and the Making of New York City, 1783-1860 (Chicago, 2016) and the co-editor, with Stephen Schloesser, of Crossings and Dwellings: Restored Jesuits, Women Religious, American Experience 1814- 2014 (Brill, 2017) and, with Mark Towsey, of Before the Public Library: Reading, Community, and Identity in the Atlantic World, 1650-1850. Dr. Roberts is an accomplished public historian and digital humanist who is the Director of the Jesuit Libraries Provenance Project and co-Director of the Maryland Loyalism Project.
Craig D. Atwood, PhD, Charles D. Couch Professor of Moravian Theology, Moravian Theological Seminary of Moravian University – The Rev. Dr. Craig D. Atwood has been the Charles D. Couch Professor of Moravian Theology and the Director of the Center for Moravian Study at Moravian University since 2010. He has published over 50 books, articles, and essays in Moravian history and theology, including Community of the Cross: Moravian Piety in Colonial Bethlehem (2005) and Theology of the Czech Brethren from Hus to Comenius (2009). He is the editor of the academic series Pietist, Moravian, and Anabaptist Studies for Penn State University Press and serves on the editorial board of Journal of Moravian History. Prior to coming to Moravian University, Craig taught at Salem College and Wake Forest University School of Divinity.
Julia Wiker, Archivist/Librarian, Mennonite Life – She has a Master’s in Library Science from UNC-Chapel Hill. She is passionate about archival and library cataloging, reference services, rare books, and German translation. Her favorite part of her job is connecting researchers with their ancestors’ centuries-old Bibles.
